E. A. Irvin

Edward Anderson Irvin, the third child and eldest son of William and Jane Irvin, was born on the thirteenth of January in 1838.  Little did the young boy know how he would support his town and his country later in his life.  Growing up alongside his father, Edward learned quickly about the family business and its importance to the town.  Being Irvin's eldest son, he would one day succeed his father and take over the tasks of business.  While Irvin was busy growing up in small town America, the country was beginning to become divided.  A civil war ensuing, Irvin would answer the call of his country.  Overall, Edward Anderson Irvin was instrumental in the betterment of Curwensville and the nation.
