![]() Sweat streams down the blackened faces of the workers. The only clean spots on their bodies are the places where the sweat has run down. Quitting time is coming very soon...and my grandfather trails off to think for a moment about his memories. He is forever talking about the days when coal mining was life. Get up very early in the morning, go to work and stay there all day, come home and eat supper just in time to go to bed to be prepared to awake the next morning. This beautiful land was built on the backs of those hard workers. Pennsylvania did not shape them, they shaped Pennsylvania.
